Puppy Kindergarten For puppies 5 months
and younger. The Puppy K Program is essential for all owners with puppies. We focus on developing life skills which will aid your puppy in becoming a well-mannered adult. Socialization with people, house-training, crate-training, nipping, potty-training, and handling are just a few of the topics covered in this incredible class. We also offer plenty of supervised playtime for the puppies as this helps them develop proper socialization with other dogs. Your puppy will get a head start in name recognition, coming when called, sits and downs, and loose leash walking. The first few months of a dog's life are critical in how they will develop later on in life. With our Puppy K class, your dog will be on the right track to avoid behavioral issues such as fear, aggression, and anxiety. From new owner to pro, this class is for you! Have you completed Puppy K and looking to start formal obedience training? Our Family Manners Program is for you! Advanced Beginner
Prerequisite: Family Manners
Looking to continue with formal obedience, but have graduated from Family Manners? The Advanced Beginner Program is a 2nd Level Class designed for you! Everything you have learned and trained thus far will be honed and improved upon while we also add new behaviors. Give, leave it, targeting, stand, stay, formal heel, and recall out of play and jumping are included in this program. We will focus on building these new behaviors while having your dog off-leash as much as possible. Please check back for updates. |
Family Manners/Beginner For dogs of any age and with
no prior formal training. Our Family Manners Program is a 1st Level Class designed to introduce the basics of obedience through positive reinforcement principles and techniques. We focus on developing offered attention, formal sits and downs, recall, loose-leash walking/heel, and no jumping. An orientation is required before attending this class where we discuss our methods of training, how we utilize the training tool called a "clicker", and how we can help you reach your training goals. The orientation helps those new to our training method and shows you how timing, patience, and repetition strengthens the communication between dog and owner. Although we're just as eager to get your canine companion in the training ring as you are, we ask that your dog stays at home for this orientation. All you need is paper and a pen (if you wish to take notes), your registration paperwork, and a willingness to learn! Have you completed Family Manners and are looking to continue formal obedience training? Our Advanced Beginner Program is for you! Pricing & Registration
Classes are six weeks in length and require consecutive attendance. First class is an orientation without your dog in order to prepare you for our course. Please keep in mind that some of our classes have prerequisites. After all, we can't run with a loose leash before we walk with one! 6 Class Sessions: $180
